Hi everyone,

I have a reply template setup as such (start and end are not in the template, they are just there to help readability in this message):

START OF TEMPLATE:
-----Original Message-----
From: %OFROMNAME <%OFROMADDR>
Sent: %ODATE %OTIMELONG
To: %OTOLIST
Cc: %OCCLIST
Subject: %OSUBJECT

%QUOTES="%TEXT"

%Cursor
--
Regards,

%FromFName

%cookie
END OF TEMPLATE

There is a single line space between %QUOTES="%TEXT" and %Cursor and another single line between %Cursor and the sig delimter. The odd thing is, when this template is used, The Bat! puts three blank lines between QUOTES and Cursor in the message window. The rest of the spacing in the template is correct, but can anyone see anything I've done wrong in the template, or are there any known problems with spacing and Cursor in The Bat? The viewer I use for creating new messages is 'Plain Text (Windows) - Windows-compatible, proportional fonts'

Chris

Avoid parking tickets by leaving your windshield wipers turned to fast wipe whenever you leave your car parked illegally.

Try this:

%QUOTES="%TEXT"%-
%Cursor

It seems as if either %QUOTES or %TEXT adds a line break at then end.
Then, there was the line break where you hit return after
%QUOTES="%TEXT" and another when you hit return again. I deleted the
blank line and am using %- to suppress the line break after the macro,
relying on %QUOTES or %TEXT to add the single break you want.

Hi Chris,

Yep, that works nicely. Thanks very much for that :-)

Hi Chris,

*laughing* Yes, it did feel a bit odd replying to myself (if you just went by the names). I like to be mysterious - so I don't put my surname into The Bat! options ;-)
